Ben started sailing at the age of seven in Parry Sound Ontario, and racing at the age of 12 in Barrie Ontario. In 2020, Ben joined the Sail Manitoba High Performance Team at the age of 15. He started sailing on a Vibe, then a 420, a Laser, and now recently started on a 29er.

Ben sailed in three regattas in the 420’s including Cottage Club and Steers. The 29er with Jonah Friesen, at the Centennial Cup in Gimli, Manitoba, and two regattas in the Hobie Tiger at Victoria Beach Yacht Club, Victoria Beach, Manitoba.
