After a three day training camp for our Canada Summer Games Team with coach Dominic from Vancouver Waves, a three day regatta was held at the Royal Vancouver YC. Tough competition and tricky winds made for a great learning experience.

The High School Championships took place on June 19 at the WinnipegSailing Centre. The three top boats of group one and two qualified to participate on Monday evening. Great team spirit was shown by all participants. Congratulations to our winners from Westwood High School Kayden Polachek and Randi Roy! Well done guys! Here are the final standings:

The Fish Fly Cup on June 11 was also the first Qualifier for the Laser male, Radial female and 2.4mR open event for the Canada Summer Games. Molly Ingenmey and Bryson Foy are sitting comfortable in first place. The second qualifier next Sunday will be deciding who will be representing Manitoba in the Laser class. Overall winner of the Fish Fly Cup was Mike Couture, followed by Anthony Clark and Kayden Polachek. The winner of the Opti class was Tomas Green, followed by Jonah Friesen and Jon Melsted. Congratulations!
The annual Buffalo Cup at the Winnipeg Sailing Centre took place as always on the first Wednesday in June, together with the 29th annual Sunset BBQ at Fort Whyte Alive. Congratulations to all participants.
