The NOR for 2016 Sail West and Laser Canadians is now posted and registration is open!  Don’t miss the Early Bird deadline and register before July 1!

Sail Manitoba will be offering one of the best coaching opportunities a Laser sailor can dream of. Angelo Tabernero from Spain, a very experienced coach and incredible sailor, will be coming for a 3 day training camp from July 13-15 before the Laser Canadians and will also be coaching the Championship from July 16-17 at the Gimli Yacht Club. He will be coaching a group up to 10 athletes. Everyone is invited to attend. The fees will be $200 per person and registration will be taken on a be first come first serve basis.

Sail West and the Laser Canadians will take place at the Gimli YC on July 16/17, 2016. We will be hosting a three day training camp before the regatta from July 13-15. The NOR will be published shortly.

This regatta is also a test event for the 2017 Canada Summer Games from July 28 – August 5 at the Gimli YC.

We are now recruiting volunteers for on and off the water. All on water volunteers have to be certified and we are offering race management courses on April 2/3/. If you would like to volunteer or if you have any questions please contact Mike at mikeandjanice@mymts.net

A high school sailing league will be offered for the first time at the Winnipeg Sailing Centre.  Every school has one entry and the participant will be paired up with an experienced athlete from the same school.  Sign up to race either on Tuesdays starting June 7 or Thursdays starting on June 9.  A championship qualifier will be held on Tuesday, June 28 and the provincial high school championships will be held on Thursday, June 30.
