Fort Whyte Alive offers a wide variety of programming options for your class. Choose from a great selection of guided or self-guided activities. Tag along with a trained nature interpreter, or visit our many interactive indoor and outdoor exhibits at your own pace on a self-guided journey.
There is no replacement for being able to observe and enjoy nature in action, so come out and see what awaits your class in our 640 acres of prairie, forest and wetlands!
School Sailing Groups
In co-operation with Fort Whyte Alive, we are pleased to offer an introductory learn to sail program to school groups. The students will learn how to safely control the stable Optimist dinghy (Grade 5-8) or the two-person Club 420 (Grades S1-S4)
Paddling Sailing Sampler
This full day program offers a chance to sample all of our water-based sports including canoeing, kayaking and sailing. Students will spend half of the program being introduced to canoe and kayak skills and the other half learning the ropes of sailing.
Please register for these courses directly with Fort Whyte Alive at 204-989-3864
